2023 SOCIAL MINISTRY COMMITTEE REPORT

Social Ministry continued to order supplies for the kitchen such as coffee, juice and paper and plastic supplies. We continue to serve fellowship after the Sunday morning worship services. We assisted with set up and clean up for special events.

The Food Pantry continues to be a worthwhile project. We have had 9 recipients/families within Webster County come to utilize the pantry. Blue Hill School students have donated canned goods to stock the shelves in the pantry. A generous donation was received for a $250.00 Thrivent Share for the pantry to purchase food. The Treasure Trove Thrift Store of Blue Hill has donated funds for the food vouchers to Thramer’s to continue for pantry participants. Monetary donations to purchase meat products are needed and greatly appreciated. Volunteers are always needed to assist with the pantry.

We celebrated the Church’s 125th Anniversary this year. It was a joyous celebration, and fun was had by all who attended. Thank you to all the volunteers who assisted and all those who provided food for the celebration, and thank you to all of you for donating or volunteering in some way for our social ministry program. You are all truly appreciated.

God Bless,

Melanie Whitcomb, Council Representative
